Title: Triathlon Runner & Founder of Int'l Triathlon for Kids

In the fall of 1993, when I was still 19 years old, I developed a rare form of arthritis called, Reiter's Syndrome.  Since then I have developed a second form of arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, as well as a multitude of other illnesses.  What it all means is that the only place on my body that doesn't hurt is my nose.

Despite all the pain I have throughout my body, I have refused to give up my athletic nature.  For now that means doing as many triathlons as I possibly can because I love it so much.  Everything has led me to my International Triathlon for Kids, where I will attempt to swim, ride my bike, and run around Canada, USA (including Hawaii), Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and parts of Europe to raise funds and awareness for the children's charities I have chosen, starting in 2009.

Hearing wind of my story, Sequel Naturals supplied me with a ton of Vega products to help keep me nourished, and I have this to say, "I love the stuff!"  I mix the chocolate with water once, sometimes twice a day.  I also take the chocolate with me to every triathlon I do so I can get it into me before I race.

Within the first 2 weeks of drinking, or should I say devouring this stuff, I noticed that I have had significantly more energy, despite the constant pain and fatigue in my body and despite some especially trying times during which my diet was reduced to rice, carrots, and Vega.  I am very in tune with how my body feels, and through everything I have done and tried within my healing journey over the past 15 years, no supplement, vitamin, or nutritional product has had such a fast and positive effect on my body.  I swear I can hear my insides singing and dancing when they know it's smoothie time.
