Title: Vegetarian wheeled athlete

Becoming vegetarian was initially by necessity rather then choice as I had been prescribed to live on a pharmaceutical liquid meal replacement product. Upon realizing the second ingredient in these types of meal replacement products is corn syrup, I quickly went searching for a healthy replacement at our local health food shop -Healthy Living.

Vega was the most logical choice. Being a wheeled athlete participating in a variety of demanding endurance sports, there is no ‘off season’ for me. The fatigue and weakness that typically set me spiraling physically and emotionally began to loose its grip upon switching to Vega. I have noticed a positive impact on recovery time since I began using Vega as my primary food source along with organic fruit, tofu and yogurt. My tolerance for rigorous training has been enhanced which I credit to my body having become properly ph balanced through the use of Vega. In addition, my immune system seems to have increased in vitality since switching to Vega, for I have not been hospitalized with infections, (which had been common in the past), since I began using Vega.

I live solely on Vega smoothies of various types. On training days I often consume 3,000+ cal. and Vega has kept me up to the ‘pace’. In fact, my racing times have shed dozens of seconds/KM. I am blessed to have discovered Vega and am pleased to share my experience switching from pharmaceutical meal replacement products to Vega. I can race with confidence, knowing that my body is fueled naturally by Vega.
