Title: Physique competitor
I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois USA though my family is from Colombia, South America. From a very early age, sports and fitness were very important to me. I was voted the best female athlete in grade school and played on multiple sports teams in high school and college. It was in college that I started lifting weights after seeing the movie, "Pumping Iron II, The Women" and discovering my idol and fitness hero of all time, Jack LaLanne. An ultimate level of fitness was always my goal and through the help and guidance of many teachers, trainers, coaches and yogis, I have been going deeper down that path. I now feel that fitness is not just about physical training but about all lifestyle aspects including sleep, positive mental attitude and most importantly, nutrition. That is why I love Vega, because I believe ultimate fitness does not only come from physical training but from the food that we eat. After doing every possible brand of shake and bar in the last 20 years, I am so happy that a product like Vega has been created. I truly believe that Vega is the reason I was able to compete in my first physique competition at the age of 36. I love you Vega!
