That’s why we’re expanding our green initiative in a powerful way. As of May 2011, we’re proud to partner with Canada’s premier green energy provider, Bullfrog Power for our electricity needs. Bullfrog Power uses 100% wind-powered energy, which means that by using this energy source we are actually reducing our environmental impact into our energy system to match the amount of electricity in which we currently use. Their green electricity comes exclusively from wind and hydro facilities that have been certified as low impact, opposed to polluting sources such as coal, oil, natural gas, and nuclear. By using Bullfrog Power, we will reduce our company’s greenhouse gas emissions and pollution.
The Response Daylight photocell is completely integrated in suspended and recessed luminaires, designed to save energy while minimizing distraction to occupants. As daylight contribution increases, the sensor dims luminaire output on a relative, weighted scale to provide 30-35% energy savings in window-adjacent locations. The sensors have a built-in delay to prevent abrupt disruptions.
Low-E glass stands for low emissivity glass. It is a technologically advanced, insulating glass that improves energy efficiency by reducing the transfer of heat or cold through windows. Cool in summer and warm in winter, it controls humidity and reduces window heat gain by 64% compared to ordinary glass. Low-E glass also provides exceptional fading protection, blocking out 95% of damaging UV rays.
